ILAYA jewelry is handcrafted in India, where each piece is shaped and finished by hand. Natural materials and artisanal techniques mean no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.

These subtle differences are not imperfections. They are part of what makes each ILAYA piece one of a kind.

Materials

Our pieces are crafted from gold-plated brass and may feature freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, acrylic pearls and beads.

Because many of our designs are handmade using natural materials, slight variations in shape, color, texture and finish are to be expected.

Natural Stones & Pearls

Freshwater pearls and natural stones are formed by nature, making every one unique.

Pearls may vary slightly in shape, size, surface and tone, while natural stones may appear lighter or darker and feature subtle variations, markings or veining.

These natural characteristics are part of the beauty of the materials we choose and make each piece distinctly yours. They are not considered defects and are not grounds for return or exchange.

Caring for Your ILAYA

To preserve the beauty of your jewelry, we recommend storing each piece in its ILAYA pouch or box when it is not being worn.

Avoid direct contact with water, chlorine, perfume, hairspray, lotions, soaps, cosmetics and household chemicals. We also recommend removing your jewelry before swimming, showering, exercising or sleeping.

As with all plated jewelry, frequent exposure to moisture, chemicals and friction can gradually affect the finish over time.

Cleaning

After wearing, gently wipe your jewelry with a clean, soft, dry cloth before storing it.

Do not use water, jewelry cleaners, polishing solutions or abrasive cloths, as these may damage natural materials or affect the gold plating.
