ILAYA was founded by Vanessa and Catherine, two Latin American women who became sisters by choice through a shared love of travel, craftsmanship, and timeless design.

Growing up surrounded by the warmth, color, and culture of Latin America shaped the way we see beauty—not as something reserved for special occasions, but as something woven into everyday life. Long lunches with family, vibrant architecture, fresh flowers, music drifting through open windows, and jewelry worn simply because the day itself is worth celebrating.

As we traveled, we found that same spirit echoed along the Mediterranean coast. From historic streets and weathered stone to sunlit balconies and the rhythm of life by the sea, we discovered places where beauty was lived rather than displayed.

Those experiences became the foundation of ILAYA.
